friday feb 11 ticketmaster sale @ 11am EST

Please show Chicago some love and do a mini-farewell tour (like NIN). I did see you at Pitchfork and with Hot Chip, but the MSG tix went way too fast or got picked up by scalpers. I’m not trying to be greedy. But none of my coworkers and I got any tix, and they were only trying to get me to so I would stop talking about it.

Will still fly out to NYC and try and score tix, but the Widny City will show you love!

I am not the slightest bit surprised that this show old out in a matter of minutes and the majority of fans got shut out. When you publish a ticketmaster event as a popular band’s “LAST SHOW EVER” your going to attract the attention of every scalper in america. I think they could have found a more sublte route for getting this information to their real fans. I also wish the band would have chosen to use the ticketing method so many other big names have been doing these past few years, requiring the name on the tickets to match the name on the billing statement. I was extremely grateful that the band kept ticket prices modest for their fans, shame that the scalpers will be the only ones benefitting from it. Of the 18 LCD Soundsystem fans i know who tried for tickets this morning, not a single person got a single ticket. What a disaster

so word on the street is all the tickets are bought up by “bots” and are already being resold on stub-hub.

I have sincerely learned to hate ticketmaster. When I heard that ya’ll would be playing your last show at the garden of course I jumped at the opportunity to buy tickets, I quickly put up a nice chunk of change for the tickets, marked down April 2nd on my calendar and set aside my black & whites for the show. Come the morning of 2/11 (Today) I woke up, took a shower, brushed my teeth and sat my ass down in front of the computer. With my trigger finger on the mouse and the mouse on the refresh button I was ready for 11 ‘o’ clock to come rearing it’s timely head so I could get my hands on 2 tickets of what I was sure to be one of the most amazing concert experiences of my entire life with one of the greatest bands of my time as i’m sure hundreds of other people were doing as well. but something went wrong. as 11:00 came around the tickets had no yet gone on sale! I was beginning to get nervous but told myself “it’s all right, as soon as they do you’ll be right here, credit card information copied and ready to paste, just keep refreshing” Then, at 11:06 When the page on ticket master finally showed the options of quantity and seating area and handicapped options I sprung into action. Quickly! Two tickets, POW, done. Seating area? Doesn’t matter, best available, POW POW, done. Finally, stupid captcha with words I don’t understand, POW POW POW, DONE…..And then, I waited during the “We are currently working on your request” with excitement soaring through my heart. I did it. I persevered through the annoyance and uncertainty of purchasing something over the internet with high demand and limited quantity. For the first time in the long troubling months I’ve been having, I finally had something to look forward to. But alas, as it seems to be with everything I care about in life, I get a taste of something and it gets pulled away, the girl I love makes promises to me and breaks every last one of them, not a single restaurant will hire me as a waiter and the harder I go, the harder I fall. Unfortunately ticket master had informed me that the tickets I wanted were not available for whatever reason. So I tried again and again, cursing ticket master while searching “lcd soundsystem” in google and clicking the real time option, only to find other people’s tweets reflecting the same attitude I had. So, after about half an hour, I gave up and decided to write this. I don’t know if anyone will ever read it but I’ve decided it’s a good place to vent. Right now, I need somewhat of a miracle or thousands of extra dollars to waste on shit eating scalpers, neither of which I am too hopeful for. So, to the members of LCD Soundsystem, if you’re ever able to do two farewell shows at the garden, I’m not eve sure I’d be able to get tickets to THAT one either but i’m sure there are hundreds of people just like me wishing they had another chance to beat the masses and get a damn spot at the ONLY place to be on April 2nd. I wish all the best to everyone involved in the Soundsystem familia, I’m sure that any future projects of such talented people will bear just as much fruit as the last one, thank you for giving us, the people, such fantastic music to live by over the years and most importantly, break a leg and have an ass-whopping amount of fun during your very last show. Keep on rocking the fuck out.

i cant seem to buy em on ticketmaster :-(. ugh i wanted some tickets so bad. now everyones selling them for thousands of dollars! ive never seen you guys before and have been way too broke to and now was the only time i actually had enough money! blah im so saddd but im sure you’ll do an awesome show. i wish you luck! maybe ill catch some youtube clips of it or something

Dam I missed out, you should of done a ballot like ledzep did at the o2, only a few tickets got resold for that. Or do another date.
