i think we’re so used to reactive stuff like spacebook and myface that it’s weird to have this non-interfacing page. but there’s always the forum, really. say hi, if you’re reading this. it’s expensive and complicated to make a website, and i worked on this one with my friend sonya pretty hard-ish, or -esque, whichever. anyway, i hope this’ll be good, as it’s a stupid-looking thing by design, much like the band, etc.

Still here and still reading.
hi.
p.s. i like the design. it’s refreshing.
Hi, James.
I read this.
J. Can’t wait for your next tour/album. Fox oakland is pretty nice place ask the hot chippers. see you this spring. DRE.
Come to Denver…or Boulder
Hi there – people are reading this, and look forward for more!
Hi james! It’s a nice website, I check it quite often, it’s honest without pretentions. I hope that this time you’ll be able to come to Mexico (please not on a festival).
Aloha

Hi J.
I love the band and the website!
Keep it up!
“I’ve been reading,” said some guy from Internets. “Thanks,” he added.
yeah! yeah! yeah! yeah! gonna be reading it, oh yeah!
Ironic that I only read this because you tweeted asking me to? Or just convenient. Let’s not fight the forces that be (facebook, shitface…etc.) because frankly, they are in place for a reason: people like convenience and its easy to see all of their favorite artists/writers/bloggers in one space then have to manually go to each website.
I’m sure your website took a long time, so instead of being complacent maybe provide something HERE that you can’t find ELSEwhere. A weekly playlist of yours? Private shows only accessable through a mailing list or website? A filthy private blog for only TRUE fans to see and read? Make it worth it, because in this digital age, we (the fan) have very little time and lots of bands to sift through. (See: The long tail by Chris Anderson….)
But I love you guys, I will always support you, will easily shell out 9.99 for your new album, go see all of your live shows and provide **invaluable** word of mouth marketing because in the end you are amazing musicians. I can’t promise this much dedication from other fans, so buck up! Do something UNHEARD OF!
Read and appreciated.. write more often
We are reading. And enjoying. Peace and love.
Yes we are reading.
Lovely, really.
Oh and Hi!!

Jesse
i’m reading this! insanely in love with your music <3

Reading. Read.

We are here and we are tuned in.
LCD @ Wakarusa’10 would be one of the greatest and most magical events imagineable. Any way that could happen?? Pretty please…

Excited to read what ever you have to say. I’m just one of a load of music lovers that hold your past dear to our hearts and are excited about what is to come from you this year. How you’re feeling in the now / what the band is doing is just as relevant to me as your recorded output. Never stop doing what you’re doing (ok until it’s not fun any more)
its all worth it! i have to know whats going on! Keep it Up!!!
i can read
Oh captain my captain.
Nice. I’ll keep reading this
i totally read this. . .or that . i read that. why int there a replacement or secondary word for the past tense of to “read”? because it looks a lot like “read” but it sounds like “red”. then “read” comes along and it’s like, “i sound like, “reed” but we look the same.” and then you’re like, “shit robot. now THATS a word!” .. well two anyway. “lcd soundsystem” is a word that is actually four. . .yep. no wait, five! okay well, three letters and two words. adios.
best of luck
write soon
love always
xoxo
word up
mm hmm
I skimmed it.
HI!! 🙂
we’re all reading this, dude.
Don’t know if I’m reading this right now… oh, wait, I am…
I’m reading and can’t wait for your next album!
Me too! Me too! I’m reading it. In fact, I’ve read both your tweets as well. Anyway, I really liked “as it’s a stupid-looking thing by design, much like the band” above. The band is stupid-looking by design? (Teasing.) Oh yeah, almost forgot – I like your music too.
hi
i’m reading this

Your website doesn’t look stupid; your website performs everything I want and hopefully everything you want as well.
James, how’s bayou? 🙂 My response: What Molly said. Like her, caught your tweet, clicked the link + landed here. I like what you’ve done with the place.. & also what you’re doing on FB, MySpace, Twitter & here. Kudos on keeping all of them unique and kinda geeky/genuine/pissed off/whatever your mood may be. Slick media + social media is a turn-off! Also love your love/hate (maybe like/dislike is more accurate) with comments in the wake of your Guardian blogging experience (which was brilliant). So good on ya for mixing it up in the forums & responding to folks. And can’t wait for the new album & upcoming tour. Good luck with all, and to all. cheers. (ps upload more pix!)
btw: see you’re moderating comments! can’t blame you, given the trolls who love to dump all over the social web. and like le tout lowercase.
Reading, and much enjoying, this. Please swing by Tulsa, if you can, this time around. I just wanna dance!
munich is reading this… instead of standing in the queue and freezing my ass off…
“it’s expensive and complicated to make a website” Yeah, tell me about it I am a Website developer, I am a COST to the company. I make ZERO money yet cost the company thousands every year…..Its hard being a cost to a company, but we do make damn good websites so we are worth it….xxx
Hi. Spacebook and Myface suck, so it’s good to hear what’s going on via alternative channels. Looking forward to the new album. Bye.
I’m reading this! Nice work on the site…now tour please! Us tour…the south…you feel me. A certain large state.
reading this. the DFA holiday party in new york a few weeks ago was a blast. can’t wait for LCD to tour again and to hear what you’ve been up to in the studio… happy new year james!
Hi, James
I want more often.
Hi James, read this, enjoyed the site. Listened to sound of silver yesterday for the first time in a while, fell in love with it again and decided to get a ticket to see you headline sonar this year! Roll on the new album! X
Stoopid web site. Come rock the burbs in Plano – I’ll stock some oil cans. xooxxox
feels insanely positive while reading this!!!
great picture too!

hi. cool site.
That’s how it starts, James.
We go back to your site.
We check your posts, and start to figure it out.
Greetings from Brazil!
I read this
Well, I suppose you got your answer. 24 comments (so far) might not seem a lot, but I am sure there are quite a few who read this and didn’t leave a comment. Keep this website up, it’s goood + use Twitter to remind people to come here.
I’m reading this. And because more album news was revealed this week, lots of people have been reading this (http://drownedinsound.com/in_depth/4138468) on DrownedinSound from November. Thanks for taking the time to answer our questions.
hey-ish
Lovely photo.
when are you guys coming to the Netherlands!!
here – and waiting…patiently.
Reading, read, and read again, but HARDER.
Of course we read the site of the world’s best band.

Always the best!

Bjeizel (Antwerp) is reading it HELLO
Reading. Watching. Anticipating.
Hey-o!
I often read this. Well, not this but other stuff on the website. And look at the pretty pictures.
We want more music. At least, oh, an album’s worth. And also a swimsuit calendar. but one of the two will do.
Hello Hello Hello 😉
Reading.
Can’t wait for the next live show… last saw you in Montreal a few years ago.
Loved. It.
Reading, listening and hoping to see you in tour… I’m one of Colombia’s greatest fans of LCDSS!
By the way, I danced last night, here in Bogota, your incredibles songs and moving tunes!
Great love and good energy for 2010!!!
I’m looking forward to your album. It be great if you sold the album directly so the profits could go directly to you (like David Byrne & Radiohead did).
I think it’s good to have your “static” site. Things like Facebook can be temporary, and there’s no guarantee that’s they’ll preserve you information for future or historical use.
Anyways, I hope things are going well and you have a great New Year.
Big fan of your work. Smell you later. Peace.
What are the chances of you lunatics playing Dublin this year? Good good, we’ll see you then so.
Hey!!!!!!!!!
Come to Chile!! we’ll be waitting.
CHILE CHILE CHILE!!
Missin me some LCD Soundsystem out here in SF. You guys gotta make a live appearance so I groove all over the dance floor. Much love.
Enjoying reading. It’s great to see a substantial & good-looking (quirky!) website for such a great outfit. Just keep those gig listings up-to-date: venue had no knowledge of the listed Melbourne 8 Jan gig 🙂 Love Bye Bye Bayou, and can’t wait for new album. Any way we can hear Alan Vega original of BBB?
i am reading this for definite as my daughter is in a non-negotiable hannah montana place. not for long though!
I’m reading!
reading as well…very much looking forward to the new album/tour. Would love for you to come to Oklahoma City or Tulsa!
Hi James. I love you.
Is that HAWAII? 😉 We love you here – come back!
your website is wonderful, your music, powerful. don’t work too hard.
Hi. I read this. And yer site is cool, I like the hand made feel, it seems more human. Humans are the best.
how could we forget the lcdsoundsystem.com page? I think social media is overrated. It’s like an iPod. We get everything we need in one place, but some of the personality gets zapped in the process. Your website, on the other hand, is personal, like a lovely piece of vinyl.
sure thing!
cool site. keep up the good work!
alrite j!
hope the albums goin well. you know we’ll all buy it 😀 can’t wait. enjoying anything you post, anywer really XD

Hi, I have been listening to you guys since Losing My Edge first came out. You need to do a Canadian tour and stop in Edmonton. I am a student and I do not have much money, so if I could I would travel to see you.
it’s a glorious website. the pinnacle of modern something or other.
Well Spacebook led me here for the first time, but I’ll be returning. I like the design. Chomping at the bit for the new album.

Yes, I’m reading stuff.
Enjoyed you and Pat’s set at Field Day on NYD.
i wonder if YOU actually read what we say?
I am afraid of change, but I like new stuff. One question though… Why did you make a new website if this is your last LCD album?
reading, listening to, watching, following, suggesting… whatever I could do!

I’m wondering how boing it gets for you to read nothing but little two sentence ditties asking you to play some place you either hate or have never heard of or dont have to money to travel to, or asking you to realse music faster, which I’m sure isn’t stressful enough. And, I mean, I understand why everyone does this, it’s because they don’t know what else to say, I mean, who would? And they admire you and they want you to know they’re real, and the only way they know how to do that is to copy what everyone else is doing, which is cool, I mean, it’s poetically sad, but it makes plenty of sense. And no one really knows how to approach someone they admire, so they’ll take any tips they can get. The only problem with that is when you take advice from everyone else, and when everyone else isn’t making success, does it really make any sense that you’ll find success?
I’m very clearly looking at the whole thing wrong, because maybe everyone doesn’t want you to recognize them? Maybe they want to poke their toes somewhere near you and then they’re done, they’ve blogged around you, they can go to sleep tonight, last night, tomorrow night, night three weeks ago, whatever.
I’m pretty sure you started this forum for people to have discussions, but it just looks like people are too busy trying to make themselves known to realize they can intereact with each other. Does that sound like real life to you or just High School?
That whole bit above was not what I wanted to talk about at all. I feel like I’m blogging on your blog, which is totally narsicistic (how the fuck do you spell that word?) and pretentious of me.
What the fuck. I’ve completely forgotten what I wanted to say. Jesus.
Hi!!!!
dont write stuff in here (which no one reads :)), instead get your CD ready. Na, only joking. And come to Germany, or wherever, i will travel anyway to see you!
